  竞争与友谊的托福写作 1

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Competition between friends usually negatively impacts friendships. Use specific details and examples to support your opinion.

Competition is a natural part of many friendships. While there are some instances when competition can create bitter feelings between people, for the most part some of the best relationships are built on a foundation of healthy competition. I think competition can help create and strengthen friendships.

When we were children, playing games and competing with each other was a main way we found friends. On the playground during recess or in the park after school, children constantly think up games where there is a winner and a loser. Whether it is seeing who can race around the park the fastest, or who can jump rope the most in one minute, competitions like these help children learn how to socialize and make friends. Yes, there is a winner and a loser, but every day children look forward to playing and competing with their friends.

As children get older, friends still continue to compete and strengthen their bonds through competition. For example, my best friend in college was also my running partner on the school cross country team. We were on the same team, but during races, we would get really competitive. There were countless times when she and I would be running neck and neck until the very end. Oftentimes we would cross the finish line at almost the exact same time. I always wanted to beat her, but if she beat me, I was still happy. We competed with each other, but we also helped each other beat runners from other teams and set new personal records. This competition made our friendship stronger.

In professional athletics there are also a lot of friendships based on competition. One of the most recent examples is Olympic swimmers Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte of the United States team. There was a lot of coverage in the press of Ryan Lochte criticizing Michael Phelps for his lazy training schedule and the fact that Phelps relied more on natural talent than hard work for his gold medals. Lochte boasted that he would defeat Phelps and the media reported these boasts like Phelps and Lochte were enemies, the farthest thing from friends. But then during the Olympics there were a few instances where people really saw that Phelps and Lochte were friends. When Phelps and Lochte were part of the US relay team that won the 4x200 meter freestyle relay, the race which earned Phelps his 19th gold medal, Phelps credited his friends and teammates for helping him achieve this record. Even with intense competition, they still had a positive relationship as teammates.

While competition can create tension in friendships, more often than not competition helps build and strengthen friendships. Healthy competition creates healthy friendships.

In the contemporary society full of pressures, rivalry has crept into nearly every area of our life, which has never failed to attract public attention. Given its ubiquitous presence, many people claim that friends will be pulled apart due to the competition. However, as far as I am concerned, the above claim has oversimplified the situation. Acctually, whether competition between friends usually negatively impacts friendship depends on what kinds of friendship they have established.

On the one hand, the competition between friends will have no negative effect on genuine friendship without any ulterior objectives. As is common sense, in the genuine friendship based on goodness, friends will always desire the good for each other. As a result, competition between them will be regarded as a good chance to achieve self-improvement and thus enhance mutual respect, which will be the foundation of forming a stronger friendship. Take my own experience as an example. Last semester, I and my best friend, Steve, competed for the presidents of the student union. In the course of engaging in the contest, both of us gave our best efforts to make well-prepared work, like writing and revising the speech draft, practicing the oral speech repeatedly and so on, which made us achieve great self-improvement. Whatever the result of the contest was, steve and I were more proud of each other for our progress, resulting in a closer relationship.

On the other hand, competitions will undoubtedly tear out the friendship based on utilities. The ground for friendship of this kind is mutual usefulness which means that once one becomes useless or even harmful to another person, the friendship will accordingly break up. As a result, the rivarly between these people will cause major rifts and thus ruin this kind of friendship. A good case in point is the workplace competition. In a company, the relationship between colleges can evolve into a kind of friendship, whose foundation is based on utilities. However, rivalries for a position or bonus are likely to result in workers resenting one another, thus destroying the friendship. The underlying reason is that competitions make them become opponents instead of friends. As a result, every employee in the contest will have win at all costs" attitude. This can result in a gap between the "haves" and "have nots" that may prove to be unhealthy in internal work relations.

In a nutshell, given the complexity the corelation between friendship and comit is an exaggerated claim that competition between friends usually negatively impacts friendships. As a matter of fact, it hinges on the kinds of friendship you have whether rivarly between friends will cause it fall apart. (440words, Zhaobo)

Life becomes even more exciting due to competition, and with competition, one appears youthful and energetic. Competition is indescribable, its power is enough to captivate young people.

Competition is a flame that ignites our boiling blood; When you are caught out of breath by the urgent pace of learning, and even have an impulse to give up, it transforms into an invisible "parasite", sneaking into your body and sucking all your bad thoughts, giving you the motivation to move forward again.

Competition is a song that stirs the strings of our young hearts; When your strong interest in learning is washed away by the sea and becomes powerless, and you even have a desire to willingly fall, it turns into a beautiful song, using its beautiful and passionate melody and wonderful notes to inspire you and make you regain your fighting spirit.

Competition is a flag that calls us to move forward permanently; When you try your best to climb halfway up the mountain of learning, and feel powerless and want to waste your time retreating down the mountain, it becomes an unchangeable goal in your heart, tempting you to move forward permanently, never give up, and help you overcome all difficulties and reach the other shore.

Competition is an indispensable and exciting detail in life, which will portray the scenes of your journey through mountains and rivers, allowing you to benefit from it and letting you know that your success is not easy won; Competition is a series of uplifting melodies in life, composing the bits and pieces of your life. It sings about your success and setbacks in your heart. Life is filled with competition, and it is precisely because there are circles and imperfections that competition makes people feel less bored.

Cousin came to me roast that she had been busy with her thesis recently, but she was free. I was thinking about it. Originally, she was in a bad mood. She said that she and two other friends have been writing papers recently. This is not a mandatory paper for the school, but they are seeking guidance from their homeroom teacher and preparing to submit to the magazine, which can increase credits.

At first, only my cousin planned to write the paper, but later on, the other two also planned to write it halfway through. They would also communicate and exchange their paper drafts privately. At first, she thought it was great for everyone to be together and exchange ideas. Later, everyone communicated with their homeroom teacher and gradually reached the end of their work. Yesterday, the homeroom teacher sent an email stating that the article could be submitted, but did not specify the name of the magazine. My cousin thought that one of her classmates had mentioned that her homeroom teacher recommended a list of magazine names to her, so she asked her friend for several magazine names from her. It doesnt matter, she noticed that this friend didnt want to tell her the name, just mentioned the magazine that the senior sister who was previously used as an example by the class teacher had submitted to. My cousin understood her meaning and stopped asking further questions.

Later, my cousin went to ask another friend. She was surprised by the previous friends behavior and said something. The next morning, she posted some magazine names and even said that she would ask the class teacher for help when she met tomorrow.

My cousin sighed at the fragility of friendship, as if it was shrouded in competition, making friendship appear very hazy. I think its good, although I dont agree with giving friendship a quick test, sometimes without going through some tests, you really cant discern the value of friendship. Before competition, some people will choose to set aside their friends, while others will support them. People who choose to move forward alone will inevitably feel lonely, and of course, they may also have fewer competitors; People who choose friends may have multiple opponents, but they are not lonely mentally.

In fact, we dont need to be so sad. Sometimes you just look at your friendship with a magnifying glass. Dont think of friendship too noble, and dont overestimate your friendship with someone.

I met Song Yaxuan in the second semester of fifth grade, when both of us successfully ran for the position of host of a small competition to become outstanding graduates. As time passed, the three words "Song Yaxuan" gradually faded from my mind.

Entering middle school, I arrived at Class 8 of Culture and saw a familiar face. "Song Yaxuan!" I blurted out in surprise, and she also looked at me in surprise. Looking at the same recitation master across from me, I knew that our competition would come sooner or later.

As expected, last week the teacher asked to write a speech titled "Cheer for Youth, Build Dreams for Our Motherland". I put a lot of effort into it on Saturday and Sunday. As far as I know, there are not many students in the class who give good speeches, and the only one to be wary of is Song Yaxuan. I have experienced her strength, but the winner is still a mystery.

This afternoon, the teacher asked who had memorized the manuscript. As I had made sufficient preparations at home, I confidently raised my hand and then went to the office with the teacher. Looking back, Zhang Shenghan, Li Yushu, and... surprisingly, Song Yaxuan followed closely behind! This was expected by me earlier, but the small number of people was beyond my imagination.

Entering the office, the teacher asked us to prepare the first two paragraphs first, and I breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, it was the first two paragraphs. Two minutes later, the teacher asked us to start. There were some flaws in the initial preparation, so the teacher decided to have another PK with Song Yaxuan after the second class.

The moment of determination has arrived, and after we recited passionately, I felt a bit uneasy. Although I tried my best, the pronunciation of some words is not accurate enough. Everyone turned their eyes to the most crucial judge - Li Yushu, as if she was in a very difficult position, deciding on an extremely important matter for Class 8. She finally said slowly, "I think... Song Yaxuan... is better," as I expected.

I dont have to worry about these either. Song Yaxuans strength will definitely add luster to Class 8. I congratulate her, and there is also a gap between us. It is wise for Li Yushu to do so, and I have no complaints or regrets.

Competition does not destroy our friendship, on the contrary, it will make our friendship closer and closer.

Song Yaxuan, come on! Fight for Class Eight! Create brilliance for Class 8! To bring glory and glory to Class 8!

What is competition? Competition is a form of competition. People who know how to compete with friends often reap success in the competition. Gain experience, enhance strength, and of course, also gain a sincere friendship.

This is a quality society class, which undoubtedly aims to explore the philosophy of life. Principal Liu walked into the classroom. After greeting the teachers and students, she cleared her throat and smiled, saying, "Classmates, today I will tell you a story!"

Story? Upon hearing this sentence, the whole class suddenly grew taller, with their backs straight and their eyes wide open, as if they were instantly filled with beams of golden light. I crossed my hands and stared intently at the teacher.

The teacher looked around, looking at the anticipation on the faces of her classmates, before she began to tell the story slowly and systematically.

"Eels are a fragile species of fish, and once they leave the deep sea, they will soon die..." The teacher couldnt help but walk off the podium. Our gaze also shifted accordingly. "The old fisherman placed the natural enemy of eels, the dog fish, in one place, and the eels died very slowly..."

After the story was told, Principal Liu gracefully walked onto the podium. Our gaze continued to gather on her. She paused for a moment and said to us affectionately, "Classmates, have you ever experienced competition? What have you gained from competition?"

As soon as the question was raised, the classroom became completely silent. The classmates furrowed their brows, propped up their heads, bit their fingers, and pondered. In his eyes, the light of wisdom kept flickering. Understand and doubt.

For a long time, a classmate raised his hand and blinked thoughtfully, saying, "Our class often competes with Class 62. In the competition, we work harder to learn and constantly improve." After finishing, he breathed a long sigh of relief and felt the pleasure of expressing his own opinions.

"Our country is in friendly competition with many other countries. While competing, it has also enhanced our countrys strength..." Everyones eyes turned to him, expressing agreement.

At this moment, there was also a hint of relief in Principal Lius eyes.

"His grades are better than mine, and I want to surpass him, so we can progress together."

Principal Liu nodded and smiled in appreciation, saying meaningfully, "In our lives, competition is indispensable. Competition will enable us to achieve success, grow continuously, and at the same time, we will also gain a friendship!"

Competition fills life with vitality. If a person lacks the courage to compete with others, they will not reap the joy of winning the competition, they will not be able to reap the sincere friendship in healthy competition, and they will not be able to enjoy the joy and success brought by competition.

Quality Society Course - Moral and Social Education Course. I interpret this course as follows: Only with moral character can a person enter society. The class on morality and society allows us to understand the true meaning of life and the philosophy of life - to succeed in competition and gain friendship.

Title: Balancing Competition and Friendship in the Quest for Success

In todays fast-paced world, where the drive for success is paramount, the relationship between competition and friendship often walks a delicate balance. On one hand, competition fuels ambition, pushing individuals to strive for excellence and surpass their limits. On the other, friendship, with its roots in mutual support and understanding, seems antithetical to the cutthroat nature of competitive environments. However, it is possible for these two dynamics to coexist harmoniously, enriching our lives and fostering personal growth.

At first glance, competition might appear as a threat to the delicate fabric of friendship. The relentless pursuit of victory can breed jealousy, mistrust, and even resentment among friends. When success becomes the sole measure of worth, relationships can be strained as each individual focuses inward, prioritizing personal triumph over collective well-being. For instance, in academic or professional settings, where promotions and recognition are limited, fierce competition may lead friends to view each other as obstacles rather than allies, eroding the foundation of trust and empathy that underpins true friendship.

Yet, when channeled constructively, competition can serve as a catalyst for deepening friendships. It encourages both self-improvement and mutual encouragement, fostering an environment where friends push each other to reach new heights. In sports teams, business partnerships, or creative collaborations, friendly rivalry spurs innovation, creativity, and resilience. By setting goals together and celebrating each others achievements, competitors turned friends find that their shared experiences strengthen their bond, transforming competition into a shared journey of growth.

The key to striking this balance lies in maintaining a healthy perspective towards competition and nurturing open communication. Understanding that the ultimate goal is not to defeat others but to better oneself is paramount. This mindset shift allows individuals to compete vigorously while preserving respect and empathy for their friends. Open dialogue is crucial; discussing fears, aspirations, and boundaries ensures that competition does not infringe upon the emotional safety net of friendship. Celebrating effort alongside outcomes, recognizing that growth is a process, reinforces the idea that success is not a zero-sum game.

Moreover, cultivating a collaborative spirit amidst competition fosters a sense of camaraderie. Recognizing that each persons success contributes to the collective good creates an atmosphere where friendship thrives. When individuals see their friends achievements as inspirations rather than intimidations, the line between competitor and comrade blurs, revealing the potential for shared triumphs.

In conclusion, while competition and friendship may initially seem at odds, they can coexist fruitfully when approached with the right mindset and strategies. By embracing competition as a means for personal development within a framework of mutual support and open communication, we can navigate the complexities of modern life, achieving success without sacrificing the warmth and depth of our human connections. Ultimately, it is in this harmonious blend of competition and friendship that we find the true richness of lifes experiences.
